SpeedXG

DNS Speed Test

Slow DNS makes every new site feel sticky even when download Mbps is high. This test times real lookups.

How the DNS speed test works

SpeedXG asks the server to resolve well-known public domains and reports milliseconds per lookup. It does not change your DNS provider; it shows what this path currently does.

What is a good DNS time?

Under 30 ms is snappy. 30–80 ms is normal. 150 ms+ and first-page loads feel delayed. Cached answers can be much faster than cold lookups.

FAQ

Is this the same as DNS lookup records?

No. DNS Lookup shows A/MX/TXT data. This DNS speed test times how long those lookups take.

Can I test 1.1.1.1 vs 8.8.8.8 here?

Not from the browser directly. Change DNS on the device or router, then re-run this test.
