Upload Speed Test
Upload speed is how fast your camera, files and backups leave the house. Calls fail when upload is the weak side.

What upload speed do you need?
A single HD video call wants about 3–5 Mbps up. Two cameras on a call, plus cloud photo backup, want 10 Mbps or more. Creators sending 4K need far more. Many cable plans still cap upload well below download.
Why upload tests look lower
The upload speed test sends data to the server. Phone hotspots and older cable nodes often throttle that direction first. Close other apps that sync photos or game patches while you measure.
FAQ
Why is my upload much slower than download?
Most consumer plans are asymmetric. The download speed test can look fine while Zoom still struggles. Compare both numbers to your contract.
Does Wi-Fi hurt upload?
Yes. Weak signal hurts both directions. A short Ethernet test isolates the ISP from the wireless hop.
